The 79-year-old Jared Diamond is an American author. He is Physiology professor and has a strong command over biogeography and biology as well. The author decided to write Guns, Germs and Steel when he was in New Guinea for studying birds’ evolution as a biologist. His overall stay in the country eventually resulted in the production of this Pulitzer winner book.
